Once again, I am thrilled and incredibly proud of everyone who turned out to make last night's BEER TIE such a great time! Our semi-accurate head count totalled about 35, with most attendees tying at either the beginner's table, or with their own gear. We collected 99 flies total for the
Greater Washington Chapter of the CCA for their banquet later this week. That's over 8 DOZEN flies people!!!!!!! Great job!
I'd like to thank Rob Snowhite for holding court with me at the beginner's table throughout the evening, where once again many TPFRers tied their first fly ever! Rob even taught our wonderful hostess, Dolores, how to tie a San Juan Worm - of which she was quite proud. I'd also like to say thank you to all bought TPFR hats (and those who donated otherwise), not just for contributing to our cause, but for choosing to represent us on and off the water as well. And as always, a big thank you goes out to our gracious host RiRa Irish Pub for all of their support.
The next BEER TIE will be Monday, March 14, 2011 from 7PM-9PM at RiRa Irish Pub and it is listed on our
EVENTS page. Mark the date and don't miss out! We will be benefiting
Casting For Recovery by helping to supply flies for their 2011 retreats in our region. More details will be posted on a separate thread as the date approaches, including information on how you can help with this year's CFR retreats. In the meantime, enjoy the pictures from last night. I can't express what a great time I had with you all. Well done!
