JSONTestOutcomeReporter exception: Could not be instantiated.

I moved from Thucydides 0.9.244 to Serenity 1.0.16 and I'm getting the below error:

I'm using Maven with JBehave.

Maven: 3.0.5

serenity-core: 1.0.16

serenity-jbehave: 1.0.9

serenity-maven-plugin: 1.0.16

java.lang.RuntimeException: java.util.ServiceConfigurationError: n.t.core.reports.AcceptanceTestReporter: Provider n.t.core.reports.json.JSONTestOutcomeReporter could not be instantiated.

   at org.hibernate.validator.internal.engine.ValidatorFactoryImpl.<init>(ValidatorFactoryImpl.java:133)

   at org.hibernate.validator.HibernateValidator.buildValidatorFactory(HibernateValidator.java:45)

Have you tried with serenity-core 1.0.44 and serenity-jbehave 1.0.20?

It gave me the same results. However, I found the problem. I'm using the Jersey Client dependency and it is conflicting with the Serenity-Core's Jackson transitive dependencies. If I remove Jersey, I don't get the exception.
