Hello Admins,

I'm currently conducting research on the maker community for a Fulbright Fellowship. I'm working out of the Center for Media, Data and Society at CEU in Budapest. You can find me here. I'm doing a large comparative survey and I was wondering if you would be able to share your list with me. You can see some the non-survey work I'm doing for this project at openlabproject.org.

Thanks for your time!

Oh, I've also got several years of professional experience building data systems, so I can do some volunteer labor to make up for whatever inconvenience this might be, if necessary.

Hello James,

I'm not at all involved in the Makers Map (although I hope to be soon), but my team is also compiling an extensive list of community innovation workshops-- please download new_spaces.csv from our Github for an unverified list of 5000+ spaces and related events: https://github.com/AnanseGroup/ananse-map

Your research and OpenLab initiative sound fantastic! I was actually a Fulbrighter in Ghana, at both KNUST and the Ghana Fab Lab... Look forward to being in touch!

Best,

I'd like to know more about how all this data is being acquired and what is being done to improve the accuracy. I'm also an agile coach and programmer and would be glad to help improve accuracy.

Accuracy is always the big hurdle. We had too much unverified and inaccurate content in the beginning. Unless there is a paid mod or designated volunteer, it is the first thing to fall down, unfortunately.
