What to Watch: Week of Feb. 2-8:

- With the NASCAR Media Tour now complete, the final preparations for Speedweeks are underway.  Meanwhile, the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series will hold their season opener in Pomona this weekend.  Listings for the telecasts can be found below.  Unfortunately, despite the live telecasts that the NHRA will be getting on ESPN networks later this year that our own Toni Montgomery reported on here, coverage has decreased from 2014 with a smaller online element.  This weekend's action from Pomona will not be covered on ESPN3.  It is unclear how much the streaming channel will be used for NHRA coverage in 2015.

FRONTSTRETCH TRIVIA:

Q: Kyle Petty's debut for SabCo Racing in 1989 went about as horribly as it possibly could.  Caught up in a multi-car crash in his Twin 125, Petty failed to qualify for the race.  However, Petty was ultimately a factor in the race.  How did he leave his mark on the 1989 Daytona 500?
Check back next Monday for the answer, here in the Frontstretch Newsletter!

Last Monday's Answer:

Q:  In 1981, Geoff Bodine had a rather bizarre incident in the Daytona 500, sliding into the infield in turn 4.  What did Bodine hit that ultimately stopped his No. 23 Pontiac Grand Prix?

A:  After Bodine lost control of his Pontiac in turn 4 (a bizarre incident in its own right), Bodine drove up and over the sole infield at the time and into the infield.  Bodine ended up stopping after broadsiding a parked Chevrolet Malibu station wagon that belonged to WFUT, the ABC affiliate for Orlando.
