THE PARKING TICKET
Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop.   We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket.   We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?'

He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.  I called him a Nazi turd.  He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So my wife called him a shit-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first.  Then he started writing a third ticket.  This went on for about 20 minutes.  The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, we didn't care.  We came into town by bus and the car had an Obama sticker.  We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired.  It's important at our age.

Happy Birthday Dillon - yesterday!!!  Does that mean you're 19 now?  Goodness - what happened to the little guy I used to change diapers for?  Seems like only yesterday! But....you've come along way since then and learning about life - the good and the bad, but hang in there and know you can accomplish the good, better, best with some dedication and hard work!
We want to wish you great luck in your new adventure and know that you'll do great!  It's a whole new beginning and alot of life experiences ahead of you!  Good luck and hope to see you after 'boot camp'.

Love Ya,
Aunt Sue and Uncle Jim

Dear Dillon,

Been thinking of you a lot today and hoping all is going great.  Guess tomorrow when you get to the Navy Base you will be close to Gods Country - Just across the border from good old Wisconsin.

Hope you have a good nights sleep in Indy, and hope you are looking forward to all your new adventures (would that be after boot camp?).  But I guess you already are prepared and kinda know what boot camp will be like.  But it won't last forever.

Keep us posted whenever you can as to what is going on.  Love you Dillon, Hi to you Austin, love you too, and Laura - love you too and see you soon.

Stay safe everyone - Grandma
