Has anybody encountered such error?
I'm trying to evaluate tesseract and I am not able to convert any tif
images ...
I ran dlltest.exe.
Should the images be converted before given to tesseract? If so,
couldn't this be integrated to the API?

its been a while since I posted. But the answer to this is too goto
the Wiki, read the FAQ and add the libtiff.
