Tephra / Improvement TEPHRA-64
Time out long running transactions
Issue Type: Improvement Improvement
Assignee: Poorna Chandra
Components: manager
Created: 10/Feb/15 2:44 PM
Priority: Major Major
Reporter: Poorna Chandra

Today long running transactions remain in in-progress state indefinitely if the transaction is not aborted or committed explicitly. This can cause performance issues in the long run as the in-progress list can become huge if clients that start long running transactions crash.

We will need to timeout long running transactions like we timeout short transactions. Long running transactions will have a longer timeout than short transactions.
