At work I normally listen to music using Bluetooth headphones.  When a call comes in, however, I turn off the Bluetooth headphones and take the call with the phone.  However, when the call is over, the music starts playing through the speakers, which is not great in an open office environment.  I believe Android sends a Play signal after the call ends if the audio was playing before the call.  I got the tasker app hoping to disable this. After the call I am hoping the music will just stay paused or off.

Can someone please help me to understand how to make a Tasker rule to accomplish this?

Thank you.

I guessing you either need to kill the music app, pause it or stop it somehow when the call comes in. You could try the "Music Stop" action but that may or may not work depending on the music app you're using. If I were writing that task, I'd first load the music app (just to make sure it's in the foreground) and then do the "Music Stop", "Kill App" or "Go Home" action. "Kill app" might need root. The other option is to have your task turn the media volume to zero when the call comes in. That won't stop the music from restarting once the call ends but it should keep it from playing out loud. Then you could have your Bluetooth headphone connected profile/task turn the media volume back up. Just make sure you uncheck the "Restore Settings" option in the profile properties.
