Just to prove that new-feature development hasn't completely stopped: next version
has network access control on a per-app or global basis (via local vpn, no root needed).

Please don't flood the thread with feature requests though...

It blocks internet access for apps by intercepting their packets, so yes.

Personally I like it a lot, since it peeves me that Google doesn't let you deny
the INTERNET permission to apps.

This is great!  So you could set it up to only allow a specific app internet access when that app is opened in the foreground?  That'd be awesome!

Sure.

Or Maps has network access only in car etc.

After testing it for a few days, definitely saves power having only the relevant apps being able to use network in
particular situations.

Going to use this to keep snapchat in check, definitely going to be an awesome feature.
