Updated my Nexus 5 to Marshmallow and rooted.  All profiles using Wifi Near are not working anymore.  When tried to manually scan for available Wifi SSIDs (even with Wifi connected), it says Sorry, no scan results available.  Please see the screen shot attached.   Tasker is removed from Battery optimization.  Even tried enabling Wifi Scanning Available under Settings>Locations  and Keep Wifi on during sleep is set to Always in Wifi>Advanced settings.  Seems like new Tasker version required.  Please suggest.  Thanks

You need to have GPS enabled.....

Android 'issue':

I call it an issue because originally they marked it 'working as intended' but seem to
be maybe repondering.

Actually it seems you need location turned on, so it should be enough the location settings on with power saving option, isn't it?

I second that, WIFI near state is only working with location mode in the android settings turned on, otherwise no scan results available (check in state creation).

They have updated the issue to indicate this problem will be fixed in a future Android release.

In the meantime I have added a dialog to the state edit screen for Wifi Near to warn about it.
