This is how I got it working on a Note4 running a MM S7 port rom.

Did the platform. xml hack that used to work.

 But the key was making the extsd path /mnt/media_rw/3488-3630.

Your Sd number of course will be different.

 To make it simpler, I made the path a variable, so it's easily changed, cross devices.
