Pent: Could you maybe look into implementing sent SMS variables?

I'm not sure how else to reach Pent, but he seems to stop by the forums very frequently, so I'll try here. After doing some research into the matter myself, I found an old post (2011) by Pent saying he'd add it to his to-do list. Now it's been 5 years, and I think it's time! Alternatively, it'd be cool if someone knows a plugin that does the same thing.
