i change the phone volume throughout the day using several conditions such as whether the proximity sensor is activated (louder if in phone in pocket).
At night and during meetings the phone goes into priority mode. Problem is, if a tasker task gets activated and tries to change the volume it disables
priority mode. Is it possible to read the state of interrupt mode and use it so that no volume changes happen if in priority or silence mode?
If yes, how?
thanks.

priority mode. Is it possible to read the state of interrupt mode

It's in the variable %INTERRUPT

p.s. for future reference, a search for 'interrupt' in the app would have told you that

I think i figured it out.
but...on marshmallow, I think the userguide might be wrong. I wasnt able to get it to work with none and all
but "alarms" and "total"
seems to have worked...I still need to test a few things
thanks.

On Marshmallow 'alarms' is not supported until the next Tasker update
(it's a new MM Android feature)

Enable Tasker's Notification Listener service in Android settings (and see
Variables in the userguide)
