Looks like pipe support is missing from the file base database. I can't run the TangoTest device with a file db:

$ /usr/local/bin/TangoTest test -file=test.db -ORBendPoint giop:tcp::59736
Can't create notifd event supplier. Notifd event not available
Tango exception
Severity = ERROR 
Error reason = API_NotSupported
Desc : Call to a Filedatabase not implemented.
Origin : DbGetClassPipeProperty

This is with a db file exported from Jive.

Devices that do not contain pipes appear to work as expected.
