SOCI 689: Grant Writing for the Social Sciences

 

This is a course in professional proposal and grant writing. The class will include a discussion of best writing practices, writing and developing competitive grant and fellowship proposals, and peer reviewing and editing. The goal of the class is to produce a well-written, competitive grant or fellowship proposal for submission. The primary objective of the class is to improve the quality of students’ grant proposal writing. Ancillary objectives of the class is to inform academic career development regarding developing and completing a dissertation, writing and publishing journal articles, and succeeding in academia.

 

Register for CRN# 28070, SOCI 689-600   w/Dr. Daniel Howard

 

**Course is currently being offered on Tuesday’s 2 to 5 in ACAD 206 but has the flexibility if needed, to be offered on Wednesday’s 2 to 5 in ACAD 206**
