Gun Owner Goes Beserk, 7 Dead.

Seven people were killed and another seven injured Friday night
in a drive-by shooting on the crowded streets of a small
college town near Santa Barbara, as what police described as a
mentally disturbed gunman methodically opened fire in a
10-minute spasm of terror.

The shooter, whose name was not immediately released, was found
dead with a bullet wound to his head after his black BMW
crashed into a car. He had engaged in a round of gunfire with
sheriff’s deputies in Isla Vista, near the University of
California, Santa Barbara. A semi-automatic handgun was
recovered from the car, the police said.

“We have obtained and are analyzing written and videotaped
evidence that suggests that this atrocity was a premeditated
mass murder,” Bill Brown, the Santa Barbara County sheriff,
said at a news conference early Saturday.

An attorney for a Hollywood director says the family believes
his son is responsible for the shootings.

Alan Shifman says that the family has not yet seen his body,
but they have been told he was killed and believe he killed six
people. Shifman is the attorney for Peter Rodgers, who was an
assistant director on “The Hunger Games.”

Sheriff Brown said investigators were reviewing a videotape
posted on YouTube that he said appeared to be related to the
shooting. In the video, a young man sitting behind the wheel of
what appears to be a black BMW describes himself as a sexually
frustrated and angry young man about to go out on a mission of
retribution to avenge his virginity.

“I’ll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you,” the
young man says on the video. “You will finally see that I am in
truth the superior one, that true alpha male.”

“I will be a god compared to you. You will all be animals. You
are animals, and I will slaughter you like animals. I hate all
of you. Humanity is a disgusting, wretched, depraved species,”
he says.

“Yes, after I have annihilated every single girl in the
sorority house, I’ll take to the streets of Isla Vista and slay
every single person I see there.”

The sheriff made clear that he was not identifying the man in
the video as the gunman.

The seven people killed, including the gunman, were declared
dead at crime scenes scattered across the grid of streets the
gunman traveled — driving slowly, according to witnesses,
firing his gun as he moved. Another seven were hospitalized,
including one with life-threatening injuries, the authorities
said. The identities of the victims were not immediately
released.

The police said the gunman had acted alone, and they repeatedly
described him as a mentally disturbed person on a premeditated
mission of murder.

“It’s obviously the work of a madman,” Brown said. “There’s
going to be a lot more information that’s going to come out
that is going to give indications of how disturbed this
individual was.”

The episode began shortly before 9:27 p.m. Friday, when police
received the first 911 calls about gunshots. Brown said the
gunman engaged deputies six minutes later in a brief shootout
before speeding off, and then exchanged fire with another
deputy. He said it was not clear whether the gunman had been
killed by the deputies or had shot himself.

“I heard shots, scream, pain,” Michael Vitak said. “All
emotions. I hope she is going to be fine.”

A visibly shaken student told the station she was approached by
the driver of a black BMW who flashed a handgun and asked “Hey,
what’s up?” The student, who didn’t provide her full name, said
she thought he was carrying an airsoft gun and kept walking.
She said seconds later, she felt something buzz by her head and
quickly realized it was bullets.

Isla Vista, a roughly half-square mile community next to U.C.
Santa Barbara’s campus and picturesque beachside cliffs, is
home to 23,000 people. The area has a reputation for excessive
partying. Last month, an annual spring bash spiraled into
violence as young people clashed with police and tossed rocks
and bottles. A university police officer and four deputies were
injured and 130 people were arrested.

this report.

In the YouTube video, which Santa Barbara Sheriff Bill Brown said
appears to have been made by the suspected gunman, a young man
bitterly complains of loneliness and rejection by women and says he
plans to kill people.

This happened in 2014 while Obama was President.

One of the key reasons why Trump is perfect is he's from the Northern people,
not a pack of white trash toothless, illiterate swamp-mongers with single-

Trump is to blame for much just not this in 2014. The use of MAGA in
the subject line is misleading. Maybe replace MAGA with "Change We

Nine Words That Confirm California's Sharp Left Turn Toward
Authoritarianism

KERRY JACKSON
8/11/2018

By now it's widely known that California is cracking down on plastics
— bags and straws — as if they were existential threats. It's virtue
signaling gone wild as cities race to outlaw plastic straws because
banning plastic bags just wasn't enough.

It was at the one of the more recent book burnings, rather, make that
plastic straw bannings, that we were told what many of us already
know: The "progressive" left in California won't rest until it has
established authoritarian control over everyone's lives.

The inadvertent announcement was delivered by Santa Barbara City
Councilman Jason Dominguez.

During the July session in which the City Council voted 6-1 to ban
plastic straws and allow plastic stirrers and cutlery to be used only
when it is requested by customers, the Democrat said "We have to
regulate every aspect of people's lives."

His reasoning? "Unfortunately, common sense is just not common."

There is some thought that a BMW driving nutbar isnt..couldnt be..a
fucking Democrat?

A lot of things did change:

* Got health care coverage for something like 20 million people.

* Inherited the biggest downturn since the Great Depression and turned
things around -- creating a momentum that has continued to this day.

* Got at least SOME regulation back on Wall Street (Dodd-Frank).

* Got a deal with Iran to end their nuclear program.

* Got the US into the Paris Agreement, one of the biggest climate
agreements.

* Lead the military as they caught Osama bin Laden.

* Brought home most of the troops from Iraq and Afganistan.

* Helped save the US auto industry with LOANS (which were repaid).

* Repealed "Don't ask, Don't tell" -- reducing bigotry in the military.

* Backed same sex marriages -- which happened. Again reducing bigotry.

* Ended torture policies.

* Helped to reduce CO2 emissions.

* Rebuilt relations with Cuba.

* Protected DREAMERS from deportation even as he increased deportations.

* Established Net Neutrality.

* Helped the Supreme Court to be focused more on equal rights.

* Improved America's image abroad.

* Helped to protect wilderness areas.

* Gave the FDA power to regulate tobacco

* Cut veteran homelessness by half.

* Cut the deficit from 9.8% of GDP to 3.2%.

* Improved food safety through inspections, recalls, and improved safety
practices.

And a biggie... became the first president since Eisenhower to serve two
terms and have NO serious personal or political scandals.

None.

Police in Altoona say Raemon Prunty, 21, and another Braddock
resident transported 5,000 packets of heroin into Altoona.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 confirmed Prunty is a Democrat running
for Braddock borough council.

The Mayor of Braddock shared the following statement on Friday
night:

“It's unfortunate to see anyone in such a situation. I'm not certain
of why Mr. Prunty would commit such crimes as we may not agree on
many things in politics we both are passionate about the Braddock
Community. I am very anti-drug and I know this is not an easy
situation for anyone. Prunty is very involved in the community and I
hope that justice will serve the Altoona Community well.”

She said Prunty is very involved in the community.

The Altoona Police Department released a mug shot of Prunty on
Friday. They arrested him and Sir-Jihad Zaire Valcin on Monday.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reached out to Prunty on Friday.

Police said Valcin was driving a red Ford Escape while Prunty was in
the backseat. According to his criminal complaint, officers found
5,000 wax packets of heroin with the stamps ‘TOMB RAIDER’ in green
and ‘PURPLE RAIN’ in purple.

The complaint said there was $220 and a bag of marijuana in the
driver’s door.

An officer said he searched the back seat of his car after
transporting Prunty to jail and found a wax packet of heroin. Police
said the value of the drugs found in the car with Valcin and Prunty
is $100,000.

Prunty faces five criminal charges including delivery of a
controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said they are looking for Wilkinsburg resident Rasul Abdullah
Aquil in connection with their heroin trafficking operation.

Suffolk County Legislator Dr. William Spencer (D-Centerport) was
arrested Tuesday for allegedly trying to trade drugs for sexual
favors from an undercover police officer posing as a sex worker,
authorities said.

Spencer, 53, pleaded not guilty Wednesday at First District Court in
Central Islip to felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic
drug with intent to distribute and criminal possession of a
controlled substance.

“The allegations being made against Legislator William Spencer are
extremely serious,” Suffolk County Legislature Presiding Officer Rob
Calarco (D-Patchogue) said. “We have very little information, and at
this time, I will not be making any further statement. Our thoughts
are with his wife and children during this difficult time.”

Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini said prosecutors will
“hold criminals accountable no matter who they are or what their
walk of life is.” The arrest was made following a joint
investigation with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

WNBC-TV, which broke the story, reported Dr. Spencer drove his
county-issued vehicle to meet an undercover investigator posing as a
sex worker with whom he thought he could swap two oxycodone pills
for sex, but it was a sting operation set up by a task force that
was tipped off to Spencer’s alleged behavior after a previous drug
investigation.

Spencer is the second Suffolk legislator to be arrested in about a
year. Suffolk Legislator Rudy Sunderman (R-Mastic) was arrested in
2019 on perjury charges resulting from a county ethics law
investigation, Suffolk prosecutors have said. Sunderman has pleaded
not guilty and remains a sitting lawmaker while that case is
pending.

Spencer, a five-term legislator first elected in 2011, is also a
minister, Democratic majority leader, chairman of the legislature’s
health committee, the first medical doctor currently serving on the
legislature, member of the county’s Heroin and Opiate Epidemic
Advisory Panel, and is a pediatric ear, nose, and throat doctor with
a private practice in Huntington. He was reportedly suspended as
chief of otolaryngology at Huntington Hospital.

“This alleged act was an attempt to abuse his position of power and
trust, prey on women, and take advantage of those he believed were
prisoners of addiction,” Suffolk GOP Chairman Jesse Garcia said. “I
hope Dr. Spencer receives the help he needs. Our prayers are with
his family during this difficult time, and anyone that may have been
a victim not discovered before last night’s arrest.”

Suffolk County Court Judge Pierce Cohalan ordered Spencer free
without bail and required the doctor to surrender his passport and
any firearms in his possession. He faces up to nine years in prison,
if convicted. He is due back in court on Feb. 26.

Sini said the investigation is continuing.

allowed on these charges. He is due back in court on June 21 at 10
a.m.

“Yesterday, at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the New York
State Police Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team, along
with uniformed state troopers, stopped a vehicle outside 5 Birch
Crescent in the City of Rochester relative to an ongoing narcotics
investigation,” said Maj. Barry Chase of the New York State Police.
“Operating the vehicle was Timothy Granison. He was in possession of
a large quantity of cocaine.”

Following the traffic stop, state police executed the search warrant
and Warren and Granison’s home on Woodlawn Park in the City of
Rochester.

“An unregistered handgun was located inside this residence, so in
addition to the drug charges, Mr. Granison has been charged with
criminal possession of a firearm, a felony,” Maj. Chase said. “Mr.
Granison was committed to Wayne County Jail last evening, was
arraigned this morning in Rochester City Court, and was subsequently
released to reappear on June 21.”

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley said Granison’s
arrest was a part of a major law enforcement investigation into
drugs in the City of Rochester.

“Warrants were served at several locations last evening and early
this morning as a part of an accumulation of a longer term narcotics
investigation,” Doorley said. “This was an investigation spanning
close to seven months, a title three wiretap investigation that was
run by my office.

In total, there were seven houses in the City of Rochester where
search warrants were executed:

93 Woodman Park (home of the mayor)
5 Birch Crescent
62 Clifton Street
230 Glenwood Avenue
287 Frost Street
132 Electric Avenue
15 Elwood Drive
2013 Norton Street
In addition to Granison, six others have been arrested and the
charges as are follows:

39-year-old Dkeidron Dublin was charged with Criminal Possession of
a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to sell,
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree,
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree and
Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree
44-year-old Jason Siplin was charged with Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree and three counts of Criminal
Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
27-year-old Jason Siplin, Jr. was charged with Criminal Possession
of a Controlled Substance in the 1st Degree and Criminal Use of Drug
Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
30-year-old Namon Brown was charged with Criminal Possession of a
Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to sell and
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree
19-year-old Ernest S. Gamble was charged with Criminal Possession of
a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to sell and two
counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
32-year-old Lytrice Jackson was charged with Criminal Possession of
a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree with Intent to sell and two
counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
Doorley added that more arrests could be coming.

“We are not done with our searches, but we can tell you at this
point, we have secured over 2 kilos of powdered and crack cocaine
with a street value of approximately $60,000,” Doorley said. “We’ve
recovered three firearms, we’ve recovered one semi-automatic rifle.
We’re still not sure if it is legal, it will be examined by the
Monroe County crime lab. We have recovered more than $100,000 cash.”

Doorley said the mayor was living at the house on Woodman Park where
the search warrant was executed, but was not home at the time.
Doorley said the mayor’s daughter was home alone at the time.
Officials say she called a family member to pick her up and she left
the residence.

The district attorney said this drug bust was not politically
motivated, adding that Granison was not the original target of this
investigation, but evidence ultimately led police to him.

“If you look at the amount of cocaine seized, money seized, weapons
seized — we believe this whole organization was a midlevel drug
organization that was affecting the City of Rochester,” Doorley
said.

Maj. Chase said authorities have reached out to Mayor Warren and are
interested in speaking with her in regards to the investigation.

“We have reached out to her attorney and we were waiting to hear
back, but we do want to interview her regarding the criminal
investigation,” Maj. Chase said.

Doorley would not comment on if the mayor could be implicated in the
criminal investigation. She would not comment if the mayor could be
heard on the wire taps either. Doorley said the search warrant was
not related to the campaign finance charges Mayor Warren is
currently facing.

Warren held a press conference Thursday to address her husband’s
arrest. She said had nothing to do with the crimes, and accused the
prosecutors involved of playing politics.

Mayor Warren’s press conference

“I find the timing of yesterday’s events, three weeks before early
voting starts, to be highly suspicious,” Mayor Warren said. “There’s
nothing implicating me in these charges today, because I’ve done
nothing wrong. I haven’t spoken to Tim since his arrested, and I’m
not standing here to defend him. Again, we had a separation
agreement that was signed years ago, and we made a conscious
decision to co-parent in the best interests of our daughter, to
provide her the love and support she deserves, bBut we still need to
ask ourselves ‘why?” Because they saw, as you saw, that momentum was
building in our favor in the mayoral race, and I was going to be
found innocent in my election law case, because I did nothing
wrong.”

In 1997, when Granison was 17-years-old, he pleaded guilty and
received probation in connection to an armed robbery in Rochester.
On the day Mayor Warren was sworn into office in 2014, she addressed
her husband’s past:

“I’ve often talked about the fact that I’m not far removed from the
challenges that our Rochesterians faced. And the statement about my
husband, he was a juvenile and made a stupid decision listening to
peer pressure. Many of our children that live in our city every day
face those decisions and those challenges. I say that I don’t want
you to commit those crimes, but if you so happen to do that you may
not be so lucky as he was. You may not be able to redeem yourself
and be given a second chance.”

Rochester City Councilmember Malik Evans is running against Warren
in the Democratic primary for Rochester mayor.

His communications director released a statement, saying, “We are
aware of the situation at the mayor’s house today. We are still
learning details and believe it is not appropriate to comment at
this time.”

Primary elections are set to take place on June 22.

BOSTON (SHNS) – A federal judge sentenced former Rep. David Nangle
to 15 months in prison on Wednesday after the Lowell Democrat
pleaded guilty earlier this year to illegally using campaign funds
to fund a lifestyle that included golf club memberships and casino
trips to Connecticut, and lying to banks about his debt to obtain
mortgages and other loans.

Nangle, who spent 22 years in the Legislature, once enjoyed a
prominent position in House leadership under former Speaker Robert
DeLeo, but he saw it all come crashing down after he was arrested in
early 2020 and charged with a raft of crimes, many of which stemmed
from his gambling debts.

Prosecutors said that during the period covered by their
investigation Nangle was heavily in debt and gambling at various New
England casinos, using campaign funds to rent cars to travel to
casinos and even paying someone at Mohegan Sun to collect his
winnings so he didn’t have to pay income taxes.

Campaign finance reform pitched as way to diversify candidate pool
U.S. District Court Judge Rya Zobel ordered Nangle to pay
restitution of $33,347 to the Internal Revenue Service, and he will
also forfeit $15,650.

After his prison sentence is complete, Nangle will spend two years
under supervised release.

“He broke the law and violated his duty to the voters – as Chairman
of the Ethics Committee, no less. This case is the latest proof that
this office is intent on holding corrupt public officials
accountable,” said Nathaniel Mendell, the acting U.S. Attorney for
Massachusetts.

Prosecutors had been seeking a prison term of 18 months for Nangle,
but the former lawmaker’s attorney Carmine Lepore asked the court to
let his client serve 12 months of home confinement and three years
of supervised release, instead.

Lepore, according to CommonWealth magazine, wrote that Nangle was
“an effective, diligent, caring and loyal representative of his
constituents” driven to his crimes by an addiction to gambling for
which he was treated after his arrest.

Zobel’s decision to sentence Nangle to significant prison time
should send a message to “corrupt public officials who try to
undermine the integrity of our government,” said Joseph Bonavolonta,
special agent in charge of the F.B.I.’s office in Boston.

“State lawmakers are elected by the people, to serve the people, not
to serve their own financial interests like David Nangle did. Mr.
Nangle betrayed his constituents’ trust and broke the law, knowing
full well what he was doing was wrong,” Bonavolonta said.

A year after he was first arrested at his home in Lowell, Nangle in
February pleaded guilty to 23 counts of bank fraud, tax fraud and
embezzling campaign funds to pay for dues at a local golf club,
rental cars, flowers for his girlfriend, gas, hotels and
restaurants.

He also admitted to concealing debt from banks to obtain a home
mortgage and three home equity lines of credit totaling $115,000 and
to filing false tax returns for five years.

All of this took place while Nangle represented the 17th Middlesex
District in Lowell, rising under DeLeo to chair the House Ethics
Committee and eventually becoming a member of the speaker’s
leadership team as one of four floor division chairs.

Following his arrest in February 2020, Nangle resigned his positions
in House leadership, but stayed on in the House and vowed to fight
the charges brought against him. He eventually lost his reelection
bid to Rep. Vanna Howard.

A spokeswoman for House Speaker Ron Mariano did not offer an
immediate comment from the Quincy Democrat, who served many years in
the House and in leadership with Nangle.

As part of his plea, Nangle agreed to waive his right to appeal any
sentence of 30 months or less in prison, and the government gave up
its right to pursue obstruction of justice or extortion charges
related to an alleged “stream of benefits” Nangle received from an
unnamed associate who owns a Billerica company.

Investigators allege Nangle helped the Billerica business owner by
sponsoring and shepherding legislation to benefit one of his clients
in exchange for $27,000 that was attributed to a “sham consulting
agreement.”
