Three weeks ago someone unknown
created a new usenet newsgoup named

free.kent.hovind

That too is a complete failure,
there is not a single posting in it,
not even a welcome message.

I'm trying to think how I would use a free
Kent Hovind if I got one.

I guess I wouldn't have him do my accounts.

Maybe have him open the door when Jehovah's
Witnesses visit.

Maybe have him stand next to the table
while I eat, holding dishes - you know,
what they call "a dumb waiter".

BS composts producing heat. Keep him locked up in your basement for free heat.

Sadly, Hovind's bullshit isn't substantial enough for compost. In fact,
I'm not sure it lives up to the standard of bullshit: an excretion
produced in such vast quantities with so little practical benefit to
others could more accurately be called whaleshit.

Shades of Tony Alamo, another religious nutter who went to jail
because he refused to turn over any of 'God's' money to the IRS.

In the '80's and '90's you would sometimes see a sign strategically
positioned in the background of a network field reporter which had
written on it "Free Tony Alamo".

After good old Tony finished serving his term for tax evasion he was
done in for a violation of the Mann act (or something similar) and is
now back in prison for a much longer stretch.

Of course Mr. Hovind does not appear to be as much of a debaucher as
Mr. Alamo was but he does appear to be far more belligerent, which is
his real undoing.

I'm afraid you have been misled.
I got one and was a bit disappointed.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0421C95397 is a
similar product.

OT. Sometimes you buy something mail order and are disappointed
because it looked bigger in the ads.
I just bought a Raspberry Pi computer and was quite pleased because it
looked bigger in the ads.
It's about the size of a business card and about 1/2 inch tall.

I got that one and was pleasantly surprised. It seems more competent
than the original. So far it has not gotten me into any stupid wars
(fingers crossed).
