Dogma is a better world to describe religion. Pagan myths were far more spiritual. Imagine everybody gathering by the fire to celebrate the successful hunt. Potions, weed and alcohol made it subliminal and fun. The wild-boar was roasting nicely. And the women were dancing provocatively to the sound of the drums. I feel like joining the party myself. A black lady approaches and offers a rub. I say "How much"?

She says free. I'm in.

Drugs and alcohol must have inspired the bible. I don't think they were lying outright. They were "under the influence." But their purpose would be control, not fun.
