Is Natural Selection a meaningful term and a fact of nature, or is it
non-existent because it is meaningless term, making divine intervention the
default explanation of evolution?

The term "natural selection" was devised by Darwin to contrast evolving
changes in wild animals (and plants) with the way in which domestic animals
(e.g., pigeons, dogs) underwent "artificial selection" for characteristics
deemed desirable by human owners. This was usually done by selecting
individuals with wanted characteristics for breeding, or more usually by
culling those with unwanted characteristics.
