Dear James and All,

Thanks for the interesting update on the SSWG activities and progress. Unfortunately I could not attend the IW15, but it looks like modeling principles behind OPM , and in particular the minimal ontology principle, relate to and can enhance many of the topics discussed in this meeting.

Incidentally, I am going to talk about this and other potentially related systems science topics in the upcoming MIT SDM Webinar this Monday titled: To Model or Not to Model? Formalizing the Conceptual Modeling Thought Process to Benefit Engineers and Scientists

http://sdm.mit.edu/news/news_articles/webinar_020915/formalizing-conceptual-modeling-thought-process.html

(currently accessible also from MIT main page).

I will be glad if you could attend this Webinar, and then we can discuss how ideas presented there can benefit and advance SSWG topics.

Best regards,

Dov

Here are meeting notes from the Systems Science Workshop sessions held at IW15. The presentations and handouts are located here:

Our next Systems Science Workshop will be held on Saturday, July 11, just prior to the 2015 INCOSE Symposium being held on July 13-16 in Seattle. That workshop will be held in the same hotel. We hope to see you there.

Regards,

James

Dear Dov,

I wished to attend, but it is midnight according to the Japan standard time, unfortunately. I would appreciate it if you could send me the presentation materials, if available.

Hoping for a very successful meeting.
