Hopefully you were not a backer of the Peachy Printer... But an interesting tale of misappropriation of kickstarter money.

That looked like a really interesting printer too.  That sucks. I still want to do a SLR at some point.

kickstarter is often like the lottery, people sometimes just can't
cope with such a large delta in money. absolve with a nice graph and
writeup, but the economics/math behind it is way off.

I tend to go with people who either have a working prototype, and just need to buy parts as part of a run, or have a history of viable kickstarters.

Also: Kickstarter rewards are a present I bought for myself 6 - 19 months  ago.

yeah i've backed 9 kickstarters, the only failed one was the firefox
os matchstick, been lucky so far.

though still waiting on my fps1000 from june 2015, should be delivered
right after its obsolete, which is another issue with KS, good idea on
new/emergent tech that gets brought to market faster by someone else,
thats the game though

I've backed 20 projects.. longest thing I'm waiting on is the Viva Amiga
documentary from 2011... though I see regular progress updates on it,
and some clips that were recently released, so there is hope on that one
still. Everything else, I've either received, or they are not late in
delivering ... yet.

Suggested Lifehack:
    - Put a filter in your email that auto-archives any backer updates from kickstarter, but not fulfillment survey requests.
    - Support fun kickstarters.
    - Promptly forget about the kickstarters you have backed.
    - Live life.
    - promptly respond to all backer surveys needing your address
    - forget, again, about these kickstarters
    - Live more life.
    - Be constantly filled with a sense of wonder, surprise, and joy when you  receive a seemingly random Grappling Hook in the mail.
