Team,

I got an email from Tim Doyle (Head of IT Pedagogy) at MLC School in Burwood. They are planning their first Maker Festival on June 19, 10am - 4pm

the details I got are:

This festival of the ‘Made’ object will celebrate all the Makers, Tinkerers, Builders, Engineers, Entrepreneurs and Fixers of Sydney. We will be hosting and running stalls with example of amazingly built things, including student work and workshops showing how to 'Make' throughout the day, with a particular focus on new ways of ‘Making’. This is an open event and a great opportunity for you to meet and work with our community and the Sydney Maker community at large.

How can you participate?

Our Festival has 4 areas.
Stalls including: student and parent displays, external providers (YOU!), new tech operators. A place to showcase things you have made over the course of the last year.
Workshops, being run by external providers but also from us.
A keynote speaker and a Panel discussion with young entrepreneurs.
This event is open to the public, so we would love you to nominate to run a workshop, 1/2 an hour, an hour, 10 minutes, whatever you need. Or, display some of your work in a stall and/or help us network to find other Makers.

So, if you are interested in having R&D represented, let Tim know

Tim's details are:
