Hi Guys,

While I was overseas, I visited Electrolab in Nanterre, Paris. Samuel
the president gave me a very nice tour of the place.

It's a fantastic space. Very large. They have slowly renovated and taken
over the whole basement of the building they are in. Membership is 50
Euro/month I think. I think they said they have about 120 paying members

They hold regular classes, and have a fantastic array of mechanical and
electronics equipment.

Members regularly pitch in each weekend to do the construction and
renovation work to make the space more habitable.

The whole place is controlled by an in house built RFID system. Most of
the big machines require an RFID tag to use them, with permission given
based on training and skill level. All the lights are also on the system
and it uses motion sensors to turn them on and off.

Well worth a visit of you are ever in that part of the world.

Jason
