Hello,

we are using ASE12 under NT and we trying to get a connection to a remote
server(SQL Server). We have a correct
interface and we are able to connect using isql to the server WELLSQL2.

If we try to insert a remote table we got the following error message in the
log.

01:00000:00012:2000/11/15 16:15:13.46 server Error: 7235, Severity: 17,
State: 0

01:00000:00012:2000/11/15 16:15:13.46 server No other query entry found for
the remote server WELLSQL2 - site WELLSQL2. Aborting this site handler, as
no remote server responded. Please make sure the remote server is accepting
connections.

NT operating system error 5 in module

Does the remote server have an entry in the local server?
Check with sp_helpserver. Is the remote server configured to
allow remote connections?
