DATAWINDOW ERROR incorrect syntax

my developers are modifying datawindows in pb10.2.1 9004.
i have remaind on pb 10.0 4510 in order to compile bugfixes.
i am unable to do getlatest version in 10.0 4510 on
datawindows modified in pb pb10.2.1 9004.
the errors are DATAWINDOW ERROR
Line 22 Column 14: incorrect syntax.

should datawindows be backward compatible?

can i go up to pb pb10.2.1 9004 and compile bugfixes for pb
10.0 4510?

No it isn't backward compatible.

I would have everyone work on the same version.

No, datawindows are *not* backwards compatible. With each new version, new
attributes are added that older versions of the datawindow engine won't know
anything about. If you try to down migrate, you need to edit the source and
remove any attributes that are more recent than than the version you are
trying to move down to.

ROTFLMAO... Just trying to picture some poor programmer - his job changing
datawindows on a daily basis to work on a previous major version....
