I'm looking at the 1.5.1-M1 version of swagger-core and I see that it doesn't have support for Play.  Is there a plan to continue supporting Play or has it been dropped for the Swagger 2.0 spec?

M1 doesn't support Play yet, but it is planned for future releases of 1.5.X.

Is a snapshot of M3 available yet? If not, is it stable enough for me to build it from source?

Not yet.  The scala module has just been built and will be part of M2, then play will get ported.  The goal is to have something available by end of next week
