Hello,

The last SunPy 0.6 was a great success with many bugs squashed, many new bugs found then squashed, and new documentation written.

However, there is still a lot of work to be done on readying the awesome GSOC projects for inclusion in the release. Therefore we decided it would be great if we could get as many people together for a day as possible to work on removing blockers for release. It would be especially good if the GSOC students were interested in participating.

There will be lots of work for people to do that were not involved in the GSOC projects, and this is also an excellent time to learn how to contribute to SunPy if you have never done so before.

There is a Doodle poll here where you can indicate which days you are free to participate.

Hope you can join in!

The poll results are in.  The next SunPy Sprint will be on

Friday March 6.

The initial prioritized list of issues to tackle are...

(1) Unified Downloader (needs extensive testing)
(2) Co-ordinates PR.
(3) Units in SunPy (#1079 - spectra, #1128 - Maps)

Think there are other tasks that require attention?  Let me know.

Hope to see you there,

Jack
