I always like releasing a new version and this time it took me a while to do just that. A lot of code refactoring in the back to keep moving Sunflower closer to proper migration to new GObject based model.
In the mean time, in main repository, changes are happening. Happy to say that Sunflower now supports loading plugins from your home directory. Config directory to be more specific. This is great as it will allow people to easily write and test their plugins without having to copy files all the time to system directory. I've also added SFTP mount manager extension, so you can play with that as well. Viewer tool was changed to support extensions and just because I can, I've created one... GVim viewer extension. Yes, it does exactly what is sounds like. It will embed GVim in read-only mode and allow you to view text/plain files using your configuration. This plugin is not enabled by default, so people who don't need it don't have to worry. :)
On the bug fixing side, I've finally managed to get rid of issues with file/directory names with bad encoding. This fix should, but it might not, have some impact on loading speed and memory usage but even if this is the case, I doubt change will be significant. If it is, let me know. :D Launching files with associated default applications should work without any problem now.
That's about it for now. It took me a while to release this one. Hopefully next version will come faster! :D
Cheers!
