Subject: UK taxation info and IMPORTANT PAYMENTS INFORMATION FROM EXTRAS N I LTD

This year, the HMRC (British Taxation Dept) has apparently changed its rules for anyone classified as an Entertainer.
Here are some links that might come in useful:

CHANGES TO EXTRAS NI PAYROLL SYSTEM AS PER HMRC FROM 6TH APRIL 2014

Hi everyone,

There has been a change to the way we must administer the payroll for all our extras, previously we would have taken National Insurance contributions from your pay (when applicable).  This is no longer the case.
From 6th April 2014 all your work as an extra will now be classed as self employed.  You must declare your earnings to HMRC directly, this means you need to register as self employed and submit returns to HMRC directly.  You can do this by going to
Extras NI Ltd are no longer responsible for informing HMRC of your earnings and you are legally obliged to inform HMRC, this responsibility now lies solely with you.
Many Thanks,
The Extras NI Team
