Stolen Trek 3500 black, orange, and white. In front of Safeway (Broadway) in WC

My son's bike was locked up at the downtown (Broadway) Safeway this late afternoon. The lock was cut and the bike was stolen. This is his main transportation to school and afterschool sports. 

The bike is a black, white, and orange Trek 3500 mountain bike. The back rim is solid black. The grips are word on both sides. This is a stock photo of the bike. Please help.
