banned spammer from users list

Just letting you know so nobody else tries. I removed
them, but apparently didn't "ban" them --- how do you put
a user on the banned list?

I did the same damn thing...

You have to go to the stan-users list. Click "manage" on the right side near the top. Search for the member you're looking for. Click on the checkbox; do not click on the name or email which will pull up detailed info (that pulls up the wrong screen). Once the member's checkbox is checked, click on "Actions" at the top. In the Actions pull down menu, there is a "Ban" option. Click that.

It's a pain to ban after removing the message. It's a lot easier to ban a person before the message is removed.
