Hello
How can i make the portal ignore the ntp settings?
I want the portal to load even though the date and time on the stb is wrong and not show the error: "Time on the device is not synchronized"
I have been looking through the configuration but can't find anything.
i know xtream codes do it..

We're seeing this issue now with many clients after update to 5.02.  Can you help?

This issue seems to affect 250 boxes even when they have correct NTP.

You must add correct ntp and after that reboot stb

My apache access log is showing me this:

timestamp=946685391&JsHttpRequest=1-xml HTTP/1.0" 200 582 "http://10.0.0.15/stalker_portal/c/" "Mozilla/5.0 (QtEmbedded; U; Linux; C) AppleWebKit/533.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) MAG200 stbapp ver: 4 rev: 2116 Mobile Safari/533.3"

And when looking at this: http://numbers-book.com/946685392

the number is giving the server the date of: Sat Jan 1 2:09:52 2000

in unix timestamp.

Where can this be fixed?

i have setup the ntp server correctly and everything should be working.

Couldn't solve the issue anymore so i just connected my STB to its own external port and gave it an external IP and then connected to my server after opening all the ports, hell of an issue when you just wanna run a simple inhouse stalker server, is there any fix for this? obviously somekind of issue with the stb and the server beeing on the same LAN.

 When capture-ing packets on the network when the STB boots it looks like it is getting a new timestamp from the timeserver;

I contacted Infomir and got the information that the issue comes from some issues with NTP port 123 that didn't get out.

I got the information that i would have to ssh into the stb and run ntpdate -u pool.ntp.org the -u in the command changes the port from 123 to any other port

That worked, so i ended up putting the code in a startup script when the box starts and that is working correctly.

If you don't put the code in a startup script then you will have to ssh into the box and write in the code on every reboot.

In mag 254 go to setting and section  server -> general and put the nice configuration depend on yourl location for example il live in france and I put : 0.fr.pool.ntp.org

you can find your configuration via : http://www.pool.ntp.org/ aftre chose your zone and chose one of the server you can use , for example in http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/fr I have 4 choice to implementate my server.

1. Hi, I changed the timezone on my Ubuntu VPS to match my home location by using the command

dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
2. I removed the NTP settings in the custom.ini file in the stalker_portal/server directory. dont touch the config.ini file

3. Once changed, I used NTP = pool.ntp.org on the STB

Restarted VPS and STB, now working.

Good luck:)
