Hi,

(on this list for now since it doesn't involve the actual game, maybe for theming we might move to the game list)

after last years kickstart it was set out as a goal to have better micro games,
specifically more complex ones.

I would like to stick with the structure of several games in a proposed order, but this time go through with the original idea of having rookie and repeat tasks, so the repeat tasks start at a higher level. A rookie team that completed the full set of rookie tasks can go on to do the repeater tasks as well.

Since there were several rookie teams that did not finish all the original games, I think it would be useful to still keep those in.

All teams should complete the battery charging challenge, for safety reasons!
I would have the repeaters go first, to remove a bottleneck I'd propose after the first challenge.

New ideas:

- give teams a robot marker return taken from one corner of the arena; the teams should then be able to tell where in the arena they are
- what was the improvised more difficult marker task at the last kickstart?
- navigate through a room with markers to find a goal position

-> please add

cheers

the thread that seems to contain the most relevant information on where the microgames should go seems to be the 'Kickstart 2014' thread.

Ideas that came up at the Crown today:
- Use the simulator!
- Write a software that moves your robot faster to a 'randomly' placed token than our robot that we programmed and that is playing in the simulator against you
- In a row of tokens, identify the one that has the number 23
- make a bump switch and use it (following the smallpeice instructions, working solder free with breadboard)

Hello Friends,

Alistair has volunteered to take charge of designing these and getting the things we need to do them. Please hit him with any queries about this :)

Thanks
