Hi Everyone,

So you hopefully know that we formed a registered charity (a "CIO") in
August of this year. Along with the other trustees, I am working on
setting up the CIO to function properly. This is an ongoing process,
and is not likely to be finished for a few months.

After the CIO was formed it existed alongside the "old" Student
Robotics. The old Student Robotics, which was an unincorporated
association, was overseen by the Steering Committee. The old
organisation was of no use to us any more, and last week the steering
committee voted to dissolve it (after transferring all assets to the
CIO). The minutes from that final meeting are attached.

This now means that the CIO is taking on the responsibility of
delivering this year's competition. Since this is quite soon, we (the
trustees) have formed a temporary organisational structure that we will
be using for kickstart and the three weeks following.

The org-chart for this structure is attached, as well as a description
of the responsibilities of each role within it. We are placing Sam in
the role of "Kickstart Project Coordinator", and so he will be
overseeing the second level of the hierarchy within the chart. I think
that it is quite likely that he will be placing Jeremy in the role of
"Comms Coordinator" and Rich in that of "Kit Coordinator".

Over the next few days we will hopefully populate this tree in its
entirety with volunteers, and we'll be able to start deploying SR2016 :-D

Cheers,

Rob

Cool, thanks for the update.

For consistency I've added these to the steering-minutes repo [1].

Thanks,
Peter

Hello Squad,

Further to this, we’ve now started filling out the org chart. Of noticeable emptiness is
the london kickstart, I’m going to be coordinating that with Steve.

Anyway, here’s a link: http://bit.ly/203cg1Q

Thanks
Sam Phippen

Cool, thanks for sharing. I note (from another thread) that Peter is Game Design Coordinator.

I'm happy to be down as a Local Kickstart Volunteer and/or Local Kit Volunteer in London.

Cheers,
Howard
