AAR For SL-8 Bitche Salient

TIm (German) and Pete (US) played SL-8.  The German player was way ahead and in a commanding position by the end of Turn 3.  However, in Turn 4, the German lost his only significant AFV (StG-III) in an overaggressive move in an attempt to force an overrun and obtain a knockout blow.  Without the availability of this AFV, the US player in Turn 5 was not inhibited with his two M7 SP Howitzers.   After two or three turns with excellent US results due to multiple low rolls, the German player found himself in a position that he could not recover from.  The German player capitulated at the beginning of Turn 8.
