In my system (Windows) the Spyder user settings are in the install folder:

C:\WinPython-64bit-3.4.4.2\settings

That location is global (for all users) and also isn't backed up.

Is there a way to move these to the users's home directory?  (%USERPROFILE%)?

Hi,

That's something specific to WinPython because it's a portable Python distribution, meaning that you can move it to whatever directory you want to.

In all other distributions or Python installations, Spyder settings are saved in the user's home directory.

Cheers,
Carlos

OK, is there a way to move it?

(There ought to be.)

You'll have to ask this question to the winpython guys. If it's not possible you'll have to use another distribution (anaconda comes to mind).
