Hi guys,

thank you for your tool Spyder! I really like it a lot (I use it within the WinPython package)!

I just wanted to ask if it is possible that the standard keyboard shortcuts in Spyer > 2.2.5 (Winpython 2.6.2) are broken.
Up to that version the standard shortcuts for going back and forth in the code editor (Ctrl+Alt + left/right) work perfectly.
Later on up to Spyder 2.3.4 (Winpython 2.9.4) they are completely broken.

I’m running Spyder within Winpython on a 32 Bit Windows machine

Regards,
Markus

Hi, I think I found out parts of the problem, but I still consider it to be a bug.

Right now it appears, as if the shortcuts for code navigation back & forth (Ctrl+Alt + left/right) only work if the source Toolbar is present.
However this is really counter intuitive.

It is also not really clear when the cursor positions are really remembered by spyder and when not (clicking with the mouse is only sometimes remembered, moving the cursor with the keyboard most likely ignored).
Right now it looks as if the experience is worse when a new Winpython installation is used (doesn't remember any cursor positions at all in the beginning), and it gets better after some work has been done.
Probably there is some initialization error within the code..
I've checked this behavior on multiple WinPython / Spyder versions on various Windows machines, always with similar (strange) behaviors.

Regards
Markus
