Spyder not being installed for Python 3.6 version.

I have anaconda3. I have the Anaconda Navigator. I have Spyder via the Anaconda Navigator. But that Spyder has only Python2 When I try to install/upgrade the version of Spyder to accommodate Python3 it says python3 already exists and fails to upgrade. Hence I am stuck with Python2 when I want python3.6 integrated to my Spyder.
