Use spyder with QGIS libraries

Hi folks

I'm new with spyder.

Is it possible to use it with the libraries and modules of quantum GIS?

Is it possible to use spyder instead of the Qgis built in python shell?

If yes, can you tell me how?

I'm a Ubuntu user.
