Connecting Spyder(running Windows) to remote kernel on EC2(running Linux)

Can anyone guide me to connect Spyder on Windows to a remote kernel running on EC2(running Linux or Ubuntu)? 

I intend to edit my code for Machine Learning locally but run it remotely on EC2.

Also, I've read somewhere that connecting from Windows to Linux is prone to errors.

I'd like you guys to throw some light on that aspect also.
