What happened to the "delete all data" button?

^ Yes, the Delete All Data was a feature I used a ton of the time.

I like that there is now an option to select a group of rows, then 1-click delete that set of rows. But you still have to click each of those rows one at a time to select them.

But more importantly, those of us who draft our quizzes in Excel (and I do that for all of them), and import them, very often do early assessments, decide to delete everything with one punch, go back into Excel and do our editing and revisions a different way, and then re-import.

I also will draft the first third of a quiz in Excel, see how it feels and whether its on track; then delete all of that, and go back to Excel, finish the quiz and import the whole thing in.

This is because there is no way to import just part of Excel Data into a specific range of rows. It's all-or-nothing to import it, and thus I'd love to still be able to delete all data at once, to "clear the way" for the next import.

Hey everyone,

To delete all the rows at once, you can click the 'X' in the header (next to 'INS' and 'MOV'). This will select all rows and from there you can get rid of them at once.

Hope this helps,

Awesome, thanks for the quick response Maria, and for lettin' us know that trick :)

It will also be useful when re-purposing those 2-3 year-old drafts when we finally cut the cord and overwrite them.

Love the feature but minor quibble: if you want to delete the last line or so of a long quiz, you have to scroll back to the top, and then back to the bottom to keep working on it.

Like maybe if you double-click it could do the old delete thing?

Hi everyone,

We've just added a checkbox to the header of the data tab (next to MOV and INS) to make it more obvious that you can select all rows and delete them.

Thanks for the feedback regarding this new tool and hope this clears up any confusion!

A solution to geshmonkey's problem could be to put another delete button at the bottom as well? That way you'll be able to delete one or two lines near the end as quickly as you would at the top.

I was always paranoid about hitting the delete button by accident on the data page.  Not an issue now.  Good deal.
