Hey folks,
I've taken the current snapshot of the SPDY spec and frozen it as SPDY 3, hosted at http://dev.chromium.org/spdy/spdy-protocol/spdy-protocol-draft3 and linked from http://dev.chromium.org/spdy/spdy-protocol like our other drafts. We're currently considering new ideas/features for SPDY 4, such as explicit proxies (see some of the recent HTTP/2.0 discussions in httpbis) and pushing DNS records and certs to the client. Our plan is to continue what we've been doing: experimenting with new ideas in SPDY and recommending the good ones for standardization in IETF (http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-mbelshe-httpbis-spdy-00). In the end, we only want one protocol, so we don't intend to keep a SPDY track alive longer than a successful standards process.
