How to load numbers with scientific notation from CSV?

Hi,
Is it possible to load numbers which are expressed in scientific notation ("2.8916966049871923E-9") from a CSV file with spatialite-gui so that they are not interpreted to be strings? If it is not, would it feel reasonable to add an option for that?

your suggestion has been accepted; since the latest commit into the
Fossil repository the common support for external Text files is now
capable to correctly parse floating point numbers expressed in
scientific notation.
please note: the Text Module is directly implemented into
libspatialite, so this change will immediately extend to both
VirtualText and spatialite_gui
