Hi list,
a serious malfunction affecting libspatialite-4.3.0 has been recently discovered: it's not a critical bug (it does not causes any crash and it does not open any security breach), anyway it could easily be considered annoying when it eventually had to emerge.
4.3.0a is an hotfix release intended to resolve this issue and in immediately available for download:
UPDATING ANY EXISTING INSTALLATION IS WARMLY RECOMMENDED
Linux maintainers and other packagers are kindly invited to quickly support 4.3.0a in their mainstream distributions.
defect symptoms and effects: ------------------------------------------- CREATE TABLE xxxx AS SELECT ........., ST_Transform(....) FROM yyyy;
any SQL statement of the form shown above (i.e. calling the ST_Transform SQL function from within a CREATE TABLE context) will always fail on 4.3.0 and all Geometry values in the output table will be (incorrectly) set to NULL; an error message could be eventually reported: "database disk image is malformed"
