According to this:

https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2017/12/improving-app-security-and-performance.html

In August 2019 "the Play Console will require that new apps and app updates with native libraries provide 64-bit versions in addition to their 32-bit versions".

So, can we perhaps start the process of getting 64bit version of libjsqlite.so for Android?

Thank you
Vlad

I don’t see that (libjsqlite.so) as a spatialite product. Did you possibly mean another mailing list? Or a different product?

libjsqlite.so is a core part of Spatialite for Android (https://github.com/geopaparazzi/libjsqlite-spatialite-android).

This statement is not true. It is NOT a core part of Spatialite.
What is true is that I attempt to keep this version up to-date with the latest Spatialite/RadterLite2 version.

When the time comes for Spatialite 5.0, I will be creating a new version of the libraries.
That will, no doubt entail a NDK update, where 'armeabi' will be removed and 'arm64-v8a is 64-bit arch ' will be added.

I never said that libjsqlite.so is part of Spatialite itself. Obviously it is part part of android port of Spatialite. Does not matter, I think we are on the same page.

Thank you Mark, hopefully we can get 64 bit before google will implement strict rules.
