Dear Group

I'm trying to configure Lizmap to edit layers in spatialite.

According to instructions I need to add the spatialite extension in PHP.

Following instructions at http://www.gaia-gis.it/gaia-sins/spatialite-cookbook/html/php.html I tried to install libsqlite3-mod-spatialite on my Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty.

Unfortunately this package is missing for this version of ubuntu

Could I have a little help on installing this package?

Greetings.

Ubuntu 14.14 aslo does not have this package
- it offers a package called 'libspatialite5'
sudo apt-cache show spatialite
...
Source: spatialite
Version: 4.1.1-11~precise1
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.14), libfreexl1 (>= 0.0.2~beta20110817), libgeos-c1 (>= 3.3.8), libproj0 (>= 4.8.0-1), libsqlite3-0 (>= 3.5.9), libxml2 (>= 2.7.4), zlib1g (>= 1:1.2.0)...
Breaks: spatialite-bin (<< 3.0.0-1~)

which seems to be an older version (4.1.1).
It also shows a warning.

I believe for 'mod_spatialite' version >=  4.2 is advised.

Could I have a little help on installing this package?
Is compiling the project(s) an option?

Mark

Since trusty is ancient by now, upgrading to xenial may be an option too. It has spatialite 4.3.0a with libsqlite3-mod-spatialite.

Kind Regards,
