The Southern Oregon University Student Life Office would like to invite you to participate in our annual Meet Ashland! event to kick off Fall term. Our event is Monday, September 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
During this event, local businesses will showcase their products and services in the courtyard and foyer of the Stevenson Union. This is an excellent opportunity to introduce your business to the roughly 7,000 new students, current students, faculty, and staff who comprise the SOU community.
The participation fee for Meet Ashland! is $25.00. Each participant receives one 8’ table and two chairs for the event; plus a (one-time) $10.00 discount on a future visit for tabling in the Stevenson Union courtyard or foyer. Participants are assigned space as registration is received on a first come-first served basis. Space is limited.
Please note that access to electricity is very limited and we may not be able to accommodate this need. Also, in compliance with Southern Oregon University guidelines, the distribution of drug/alcohol/cigarette paraphernalia or advertisement of specific alcohol companies is not permitted.
SOU Loves Ashland: An Additional Opportunity for Restaurants!
We are also looking for restaurants in the downtown area to work with us on the evening of Monday, September 25th between 5:00pm-8:00pm. The request is that participating restaurants would designate a few selected menu items for which a voucher (provided by SOU) can be presented for one item per student. Ideally the item would include a soft drink and cost up to $12.00 (the voucher will cover up to $12.00 and students will pay out-of-pocket for anything over that amount). Last year, restaurants offered a short list of menu items specifically for this event that were within that price and it worked very well.
For each voucher collected, we can pay promptly following the event by credit card. This is a great way to familiarize students with your business. If you choose to participate, we anticipate up to 75 students visiting your restaurant between 5:00-8:00pm.

Registration for both events is a two-step process:
1. Complete
this registration
form. A confirmation email will be sent upon completion of the
registration form.
2. Please look for a second email that will contain parking details, unloading and set-up information, a campus map and an invoice. Receipt for payment will be distributed at the event. Restaurants choosing to participate in SOU Loves Ashland, we will contact you directly to provide more details.
