Oregon Republican: Hey, If The Police Will not Protect Free Speech, We will Use Private Militia

Following the deplorable attack in Portland, Oregon where two men were
stabbed to death confronting a white supremacist, Mayor Ted Wheeler (D)
said that he wanted a pro-Trump free speech rally canceled, fearing that
the rally would foment the same type of hatred espoused by the murderous
thug a few days ago. As of today, the rally still has a federal permit;
it is scheduled for this coming Saturday.

In fear that the police might not provide security for the free speech
rally, Multnomah County Republican Party Chairman James Buchal said that
he might rely on private militias and security to protect the rallygoers.
Buchal told The Guardian:

"I am sort of evolving to the point where I think that it
is appropriate for Republicans to continue to go out there.
And if they need to have a security force protecting them,
that’s an appropriate thing too."

Buchal pointed out that he would consider using two controversial groups,
the Oath Keepers and the Three Percenters, to come to the rally to
protect them from "belligerent, unstable people who are convinced that
Republicans are like Nazis." The Southern Poverty Law Center, a radical
leftist organization, describes the Oath Keepers as "one of the largest
radical antigovernment groups in the U.S. today." The Three Percenters
are described by Political Research Associates as a "Patriot movement
paramilitary group that pledges armed resistance against attempts to
restrict private gun ownership."

The purpose of the Second Amendment was to ensure that individual liberty
would be protected if someone was threatened by a corrupt or tyrannical
government. While Buchal is right to say that increasing security is
often necessary to protect speech, this demonstrates an ongoing problem
that conservatives and the Right have discussed when it comes to
censorship and speech suppression. After an indisputably disgusting act
in Portland, the Democratic Mayor's response is to limit speech rather
than to promote it. The Left remains relentless in its belief that
allowing more speech will contribute to the rise of hatred rather than an
opportunity for people to get exposed to its evil ideology. This
phenomenon was also evident when Twitter co-founder Evan Williams
apologized for creating an open forum of ideas that helped Trump win the
election.

I know a good source of brown and black uniforms for your party's body guards.

Were those the uniforms Obama ordered for his Civilian National
Security Force?

As reported by the Canada Free Press in 2012, during his first campaign
Obama promised a “Civilian National Security Force” that would be “just as
powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded as the U.S. Military.”

The CPF notes further:

"It is well known amongst dictators, the world over, that a private army is
necessary to control the great unwashed masses over which they force their
rule."

And, interestingly, the paper makes this observation too (see if it sounds
familiar now that Trump is president):

" We have seen Obama steadily assume dictatorial powers over apathetic
Americans in just three and a half years. He has all but hushed the people’s
voice in government, the US Congress, by simply by-passing them and ruling
by executive order—just like any other two-bit dictator."

And again, that was in 2012. My, have times have changed. Except now, the
Marxist Alt-Left is demonstrating both a short memory and utter hypocrisy,
which doesn’t mean anything to them, since they wear hypocrisy like a badge
of honor.

Here’s Obama making the announcement in 2008:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt2yGzHfy7s

Incredible? Now imagine if candidate Trump, already bearing the phony
accusation that he’s the new face of fascism (which was a Left-wing
political construct, not a Right-wing construct), would have deigned to
suggest the creation of what the CFP accurately described as a private
government army? Then and only then could those on the Left accurately claim
that the new president is an authoritarian in the waiting, ready to unleash
an army of ideological drones to prey on them and the Constitution:
http://www.westernjournalism.com/heres-why-its-idiotic-to-conflate-fascism-with-right-wing-ideology/

Obama’s promised “Civilian National Security Force” never came to fruition,
but the mere fact that he was the one who proposed it -- and not Trump -- is
telling about who he really is and what kind of people he represented as
president. The Left, not the political Right, gave Obama a pass on doing
something they now are convinced Trump will do.

Absurd, but it goes to show just how unhinged, misguided, politically inane
and detached from reality the angry Left really is. What’s more, the time
has come to label the groups who are keeping their supporters perpetually
angry what they really are: Threats to our freedom, our democratic republic
and the future of our country: http://www.5z8.info/mydick_mxrm

Protests are one thing, but when there are sinister motives behind them, how

A: This false claim is a badly distorted version of Obama’s
call for doubling the Peace Corps, creating volunteer networks
and increasing the size of the Foreign Service.

Government organisation answerable to the federal government operating under the
laws passed by Congress.

The only ones wanting their private army is this thread are Republicans.

So you think Drumpf wants to be a dictator, and that's why you approve of him.

You meant to say real Americans, not the fascists of Portlandia.

Obama federal government. Obama was and still is an enemy of the
American people.

Eminently qualified then to report on the crackpot whackos in Portlandia.

Liberals only defend free speech when it is to their advantage. Is that
what you're saying?

Learn to read and comprehend. These are Americans standing up for their
rights against facist losers. Trump has nothing to do with this. Your
TURD is showing.
