Hi all,

Another Jewishgen user contacted me years ago and we are now in the
final stages of confirming we are indeed related via our KANO (Kahana)
families, from Poland.

In my final attempts of obtaining the last official evidences, I am
searching after any official data about

Pinchas Hersh (civil name in England, Philip) KANO, who was in London
on January 21, 1949.
(Taken from http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C12361045 )

Pinchas was married to Rivka Rachel Szczuciner. They seem to have
settled in England.
I did not have success yet in finding other official evidences on the
couple, other than the document above.

I have been trying to locate a Jewish genealogical society in London
or the British Jewish Genealogical society, but everything I found so
far requires either membership for any meaningful data or does not
offer a discussion list where I can post my inquiry.

Does any of the British genners out there have more guidance on what
is my best lead?

Thanks in advance,
Avraham Yehoshua Kahana

United Synagogue has a burial lookup for their 14 cemeteries at
https://www.theus.org.uk/category/find-grave

You need to enter the first name (or beginning), last name (or beginning),
and the year to do the search.

You can find a Philip Kano who died in 1963 at Bushey Cemetery, including a
headstone photo.

Best regards,
