Hi,

I have just come across a marriage record for 1938 in the LitvakSIG marriage
registers. This is the information that I have found:

Marriage place: Jurbarkas
Groom: ZELIKAS [ZELIK] Elijas Hirsas; His parents: Father: Bencelis Mother:
Cerne GALEINAITE/[GALEIN]
Bride: MAGIDOVICIUTE/[MAGIDOVICH] Judes; Her parents: Father: Solomas Mother Feiga
Mira HESELKEVICIUTE/[GESELKEVICH]
The groom: Elijas Hirsas was divorced and aged 42, born Darbenai
The bride: Judes was single and aged 24

The bridge Judes (Yehudit) is a 1st cousin twice removed of mine.

Questions:
Is anyone related to the groom: Elijah Zelikas or any other members of the above
mentioned people? What are modern names for: Bencelis and Cerne ?

Thanks and regards
